Te Horo Beach
One of the lesser-known beaches, Te Horo Beach is the perfect escape for those looking for some peace and solitude.
Tucked away off the beaten track just south of Ōtaki, this rugged, windswept beach offers the perfect escape from the crowds.
A favourite among horse riders, the Sims Road and Te Horo Bridleway offers a scenic ride along coastal dunes, connecting with the Waikanae to Peka Peka Loop, for an extended ride.
For a post-beach refreshment, the delightful hidden gem, The Bus Stop Cafe is a must-visit.
Facilities:
Car parking, toilets, changing rooms. Horse float parking and mounting blocks are provided at the beach end.
