Ōtaki Beach
Located at the northern tip of the Kāpiti Coast, Ōtaki Beach is an authentic Kiwi coastal destination known for its laid-back beach-bach vibes.
Ōtaki River Mouth is a favourite spot for surfcasters and freedom campers, while a bit further north you'll find some great swells for surfing.
Safe swimming is available at the northern end of Marine Parade, where the Ōtaki Surf Lifesaving Club patrol the beach during the summer months.
Home to the annual Ōtaki Kite Festival - this much-loved event sees the beach come alive with colourful kites, market stalls and entertainment in March.
Facilities:
Car parking, toilets, changing rooms, as well as picnic area and BBQs next to the Surf Club.
Horse float parking is available along Marine Parade at the end of Rangiuru Road.
