The Royal New Zealand Ballet is bringing Tutus on Tour 2025 to town
This highly anticipated event will feature three dazzling performances that blend timeless classics with fresh, contemporary flair. It’s a stunning showcase of world-class dance right here in our backyard.

Prepare to be wowed by two breathtaking pas de deux: the graceful Grand Pas Classique and the playful Wedding Pas de Deux from Act III of Coppélia. These beloved pieces will transport you to the heart of ballet tradition.
Adding a modern twist, we’re thrilled to introduce the stage premiere of Limerence. Created by former RNZB dancer Annaliese Macdonald and set to Schubert’s music, this beautiful work for four dancers was originally part of RNZB’s digital Ballet Bites season in 2022 and has been reimagined for live audiences.
Rounding out the programme is The Way Alone, an elegant neoclassical piece by Australian choreographer Stephen Baynes, set to Tchaikovsky’s stirring score. Originally performed by the Hong Kong Ballet, this marks its New Zealand debut.
