Hola Mexican
Authentic Mexican cuisine comes with a side of coastal views at Paraparaumu’s Hola Mexican. Easily recognisable by the large mural by local artist Theo Arraj on its outside wall, Hola serves Mexican street food with a modern flair.
The street food menu offers faves like spicy nachos, corn tacos, chilli con queso, and jalapeño poppers. Finish up your meal with some authentic Mexican tequila, and incredible views of Kapiti Island.
Salty’s Diner
Calling itself the "rowdy little sister who gets away with anything", the Salty's team deliver good ole diner food served up with friendly service, and a side of inappropriate kitchen banter. Salty's tasty eats and North End Brewing beers are served from a lovingly converted vintage Airstream inside the building - right in the heart of Paraparaumu Beach.
They promise to keep the food fresh with a big, bold and smokey menu that provides an epic tasting experience. It's a place to catch up with mates, chill, and enjoy the feed. For the competitive types there's old-school pinball and arcade machines to while away your time. What more could you want?
Salt & Wood BBQ
Tasty BBQ eats and smoked meats served with refreshing North End Brewing beers, Salt & Wood BBQ is unashamedly all about meat and beer. Connected to the North End Brewery by a large glass wall, the Salt & Wood team insist that "there's no combo on earth like legit American BBQ and a cold pint".
Can't decide which of the 14 or so beers brewed at the on-site North End Brewery you should have with your meal? Ask the team which pairs best with your meal or share a 6-beer tasting tray with a friend and then have a pint of your favourite.
There’s also a large wine and cocktail selection, and well-thought breakfast and burger menus for all-day dining.
Sunday Cantina
Raumati South is home to the Cantina Kitchen which utilises the abundance of fresh local produce the district has to offer. Sunday Cantina menus are developed depending on what fresh, local, seasonal produce is available. Therefore it is an ever changing and diverse taste sensation, think pizzas and salads. They always offer lots of delicious vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
Passo
In Sicily, passo means to pass, to stop by, to drop in. It’s also the nickname of chef and restaurateur Michele Passarello, as well as the name of the street his family have lived on for generations. Michele is the brains behind the Paraparaumu restaurant, Passo. It’s where you will find authentic pizza, pasta, secondi, contorni, and more. The meals are just like Michele’s Nonna used to make. It’s home-style Italian cooking paired with modern flavours and techniques. More than a restaurant, Passo is a place to get together.
